My work sits at the intersection of clinical practice and specialised medical language expertise. As a former oncology nurse working in clinical research, I spent many years supporting patients participating in clinical trials. I understand how questionnaires are experienced in real clinical settings — where patients hesitate, what feels unclear or overly technical, and what helps create reassurance and clarity.
I combine this clinical perspective with specialised training in linguistic validation and extensive experience in medical translation and quality review.
This results in an approach where conceptual accuracy, cultural appropriateness and practical usability come together. Questionnaires and other patient-facing materials must not only be methodologically sound, but also clear and credible for the people completing them. European regulatory frameworks emphasise that information intended for end users must be clear and accessible
